Last nights Board Meeting was very productive. First we all want - TopicsExpress

Last nights Board Meeting was very productive. First we all want to thank our teaching artists for getting in their applications to teach at the 2015 Retreat so fast, Mary only lacks a few more teachers to fill our class Schedule. The line up is looking awesome, with a great variety of mediums to be taught. Then we brainstormed some additional ways to make money for the Society, since we lost the bi-annual Show revenue of May due to the flooding rain, sorry no details yet, but some great ideas to pursue. And as always, anyone with ideas they would like to share please tell one of the board about it at a monthly meeting. Lastly, I have pledged to work on increasing membership as total membership has fallen this year. I will recruit from my part of the coast, namely Baldwin County. We would like to encourage our members to carry a brochure with them, especially when visiting any hobby stores and bead shops where you might meet like minded beaders and artists to share information about the Society via the flyer and inviting them to a free check us out monthly meeting. Another way would be to post a flyer at your local library branchs bulletin board. Also encourage friending our Facebook page, as I will be posting more information to this page as it is available for me to share. I will be posting Retreat information when schedules are ready. We plan to continue giving the retreat applications out to members only for a month before we distribute it to non-members. So members always get first pick of classes. Have a great day and keep on beading!
