Last thought for the afternoon. This is especially for those within Christianity, and especially for those within ministry, and most specifically those in leadership. It is a great question however for us all no matter what we believe or do. Do you value you favorite ideology or theological position over people? Do you value being right over relationship? Do you value your pride over people? The Pharisees put their religious rightness over people. They valued religious pride over people. People that were not all right they would not have relationship with for they saw themselves as better. Jesus was different. Jesus came for people. Jesus cared for people. All people. The religious Pharisees never went outside their party lines, their temple system, their denomination, their political persuasion. Jesus crossed all kinds of lines, political, denominational, and cultural to care for people. It infuriated the religious. They wanted to be right. Jesus was right. Jesus wanted relationship. Jesus died for people. If it is not about people for you, all people, all cultures, all the world, then your Christ, your cross, and your Christianity is too small and not real. If it is not about people for you then get another line of work for you are not really representing the Christ. God so loved the world - John 3:16
