Last time I looked our governmental structure was set up so that the people we voted in spoke with our voice....no their own....Its seems all those representing the American people on both sides of the isle have forgotten that fact.....We have seen in recent months how with just a bit of organization and a loud mouth at the helm Americans can be pushed to act out against a cause......Too bad there isnt someone fueling the flames to force ineffective Leaders to do the right thing by their fellow countrymen. Protests serve a purpose...they do affect change....I guess I just dont get the ignorance and anger especially when people are choosing to write narratives that didnt happen. I lived through a very similar anti cop period during the 70s.....a number of Police officers were murdered across the country much like what seems to be happening now...It is curious to me how so many leaders have weighed in pushing partial truths and endangering those whose job is to keep us safe. 126 cops were killed on the job in 2014....have you heard that stat before....????? I can bet you probably havent. The N.Y.P.D. has 60% minority cops 40% white cops.....perfect ratio for a city of diversity. This force is one of the best in the country..if not the best....These cops are not suiting up looking to kill people...either black..white..or whatever other race lives within the boroughs....None of the leaders who have taken this lets scrutinize the Police across American stance can rewind....Their words have stoked the fires of rage on both sides....What we need now is local leaders to stand up and work their neighborhoods....Government is not going to fix what ails a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn...in Ferguson...in Chicago...Detroit....We need people to get these gang bangers off the streets doing destruction and back out there cleaning up their neighborhoods...We need pride brought back into the places from where we came....We need people like Sharpton shut down by voices of positivety The kind of change we need has not come and will not come until the people in this country decide to take back their power......
