Last two days have been tough ones. Its finally hitting & sinking in. We have had so many well wishes, prayers, hugs, & love shown to us in so many ways already. Its been amazing. Mom & I have a lot on our minds. Most of the time, I am so busy, I am trying not to think too hard. Yesterday I find myself breaking down in Boscovs Dept Store, but just like the Lord, this sweet little older Italian Pentecostal-Catholic lady ended up praying for me. Many of Moms nurses have been so sweet too. Today Mom & I got to say goodbye to Dad on our own. We had a little private time at the funeral home. Some of Dads sisters were able to stop by but we also had a lot of time just the 3 of us--Dad, Mom & me. Dad looked good. Mom did well given her health lately. Afterwards, I took her to see the dogs & get a bite. We were both exhausted when we got back. Tomorrow is the day everyone else gets to say goodbye---or rather--just so long for now. They say it might just be a tad warmer. Lets hope so. Pastor Woodring & Pastor Rob of the Elkton Church of God have been so kind & helpful. Our friends Marlyn M Lively & Richard Thomas Given coordinating food & Kenny & Rebecca Sue Head coordinating music. Work family, church family from several churches (First Assembly-Five Rivers), Parkview, Elkton Church of God, family from PA, DE, NJ, MD, NC & friends from there too, Elkton Christian School, Cecil County Board of Education, the Court House, Cecil College, have all been so sweet with phone messages, texts, emails, etc... Keep praying--especially physically for Mom. After all this we are all going to need a long hibernating nap. See some of you tomorrow. Be careful. And if you to reach me call or text me or email me. 443-206-1937, gwhmail@aol
