Last week, I had the honor of taking Commanding SGT MAJ ret Mr. Vernon Westmoreland ( Pops ) fishing with me. I spent most of the time playing guide ( paddling, taking his fish off the line, and even baiting his hook) but didnt mind it a bit. That man had more fun than a 21 yr old on their birthday, at a bar. He even gave me a fishing lure that he made 15 years ago. I would do it every day, all over again of I could. To everyone out there: embrace your loved ones and hug them every day. You never know whats around the corner. It was an honor, Pops. Cant wait to do it again another time!
