Last week we were joined by an amazing group of 16 and 17 year olds who chose Hospice in the Weald as their Community engagement project as part of their #NCS month . The team really impressed us with their maturity and how well they grasped what it is we do here. The group spent all day in our Hospice Day Service doing quizzes and crafts in the morning and then organised a Tea Party for our Hospice Day Service patients, volunteers and staff in the afternoon. They raised money to fund the tea party and made all of the cakes themselves (they were delicious!) Whilst enjoying the Tea Party the #NCS team showed us a video they had put together during their time at the Hospice. They wanted to create something that celebrated the role of our wonderful volunteers in particular and we feel they have achieved just that.
