Last weekend volunteers successfully completed another restoration project. The project was to restore a baggage cart that could be added to the depot area for display purposes. The project was started last summer and included repairing the wooden wheels as well as replacing a number of the wood components on the deck and frame. Most recently the cart received a fresh coat of glass green paint accented with red wheels. With the aid of the MCRM forklift truck the restored baggage cart was delivered to the depot platform. A big thanks is extended to all of the volunteers that helped to complete this project. The group of volunteers that participated in this restoration effort included: Richard Dipping, Owen Hughes, Stu Mathias, Leigh Magginnis and Jack Reichert If anyone is interested in helping with another baggage cart restoration, we have another cart in the Car Shop awaiting restoration.
