Last year the student intake of ACAs plus ICAEW’s entry - TopicsExpress

Last year the student intake of ACAs plus ICAEW’s entry qualification CFAB reached a record high (7,478), and the proportion of international students grew to over a quarter (26%). You can learn more in the ICAEW 2013 Annual Review and Financial Statements published today, which also tell us that 97% of the best global brands employ ICAEW Chartered Accountants. The Review gives an account of how ICAEW invested membership subs over the past year helping to build a stronger global profession. It also explains how ICAEW has responded to changes in the marketplace, for example working to make the ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification reflect what businesses need, and launching new routes into the profession to target a more diverse talent base. Two key changes for students last year: there’s a new way of training attached to a Chartered Accountant known as an Authorised Training Principal. What this means is that even if you are working in a non-ICAEW firm in the future, you will be able to train a new ACA. And we launched a new one-year intensive route through ACA Exams with KPMG last year.
