Last year, we collected an extra 140 tonnes of empty bottles and jars which people had used over Christmas and disposed of in their blue bins. That’s the equivalent to 12 double decker buses! Quite a lot of that was made up of empty bottles, so somebody must have been having a good time! You’re probably wondering what happened to them after we collected them.
