Last year we collected over 200 gifts for PAY IT FORWARD. We had so many gifts that the hospital was able to use the remaining gifts to give to children hospitalized on other holidays and on birthdays. On the day we delivered these gifts we had Elves, Santa, and an LSU Football player handing out the gifts to the children. It was such a special day for these kids. That is why we decided to make Pay it Forward an annual event. Christmas is such a special time of year, but there are so many children out there that are suffering during Christmas. Pay it Forward is not just about the gifts, it is about making these kids forget about their pain, forget about their cancer, forget about their illness, forget about their suffering, even if just for a few moments. It is about showing these kids that Christmas lives in our hearts and that we support them in the battle they are fighting. I am very passionate about this because my child and family lived within the four walls of a hospital room for over 2 months and although we had an amazing and supportive network of family and friends, we saw so many kids that didnt have that support.
