Late Monday Prayer Jesus Christ, you said to us, If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. Lord, we are quite aware that when we have turned our lives to you, trials and temptations are the order of the day: but this will not deter us, for we know that the power to overcome temptations and evil comes from you. Jesus Christ, you did not walk any easy journey on this earth; You faced all challenges from betrayal, personal attacks and even death which you conquered by your resurrection. Lord, today we pray that we may not be fooled by false prophets who mislead people preaching about worldly prosperity, yet their intentions is to steal from poor souls. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. Lord, our forefather Abram believed you LORD, and You credited it to him as righteousness. Today give us the spirit to believe and have faith in you. Amen.
