Late my beloved father, elder uncle and younger uncle (and father-in-law). Each one a scholar in his own right, hardworking, pious and courageous. And then in shame I read this line by Allama Iqbal from Jawaab e Shikwa - Thay tou aaba vo tumhaarey hi magar TUM KIYA HO? Soorah Al-Isra #17, Ayat # 24 ....... say: My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy as they cherished me in childhood. We remember our children and grand-children and post their pictures on Facebook to remind and reiterate the world how good they are and how much we love them. Let us tell the world how fantastic our ancestors were and how much we love and regard them. All the more since we owe them whatever moral, ethical, decent and good is there in us: They taught us these virtuous principles and practices.
