Lately Ive been hearing a lot of talk about political correctness and people getting offended by certain adjectives and descriptors being assigned to them or their particular color, culture, creed, or heritage. I want to firstly say that if a terminology is meant in an offensive or hurtful way, then absolutely lets dont use it. The N word is a prime example. Using that word is only meant to be derogatory. But if I say a friend of mine is a black guy, it is an adjective and not an insult. Now to my point. If the Washington Redskins are made to change their names, we had better be ready to change a lot of team names. Cheifs, Braves, history. Oh and tall people might be offended by the term Giants so thats gotta go...Buccaneers might want to be called ...I dont know, swashbucklers or something. Lets change all team names to be named after animals only because they arent smart enough to know whether we are insulting them with the name we use to describe them. Oh wait, there is a problem with the animal names...the gamecocks. Gamecocks are bred and raised for cockfighting which is illegal...at least in 95% of the country. So maybe its just easier to leave it alone. The only people who are offended by the term Redskins are just too goddamn sensitive. Thank you and good night.
