Later today, Ill be briefed by experts from the National Transportation Safety Board on last weeks fatal Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority ( Metro Forward) incident. #Metro safety and reliability are of utmost concern to me, which is why we need real answers as to what occurred; why passengers were held for such a seemingly long period of time on a dangerous, smoke-filled train; and whether the threat of similar incidents exists today. Each day, Marylanders and those across the region — commuters, residents, tourists, students and business people — rely on the #WMATA system.
