Latest Update on Carol Terra (9/24) WOW!!! Talk about a turnaround! Not only has the right arm rebounded and is strong again, now the LEFT arm is regaining its mobility! The PT doctor has this rating from 1 (bad) to 5 (excellent), and as recently as last night, that left arm was a 1...this afternoon?: Its a FOUR!! This has been an amazing turn of events, and its impressed the staff a lot. Carol even got up and was moved to a different bed while her original bed was readjusted and checked over. Yes. Got up.:) I dont know what you all have said in those prayers, or what you put into those well-wishes and good thoughts, but someone ought to bottle them and sell them as a miracle cure. For now, theyre still monitoring her carefully. You dont treat brain aneurysms lightly. They do occasional ultrasounds to her head with this hand-held device that looks like something Doctor McCoy would use, in order to do make sure the blood flow is still strong. And yes, it is... The timetable for a full recovery, including rehab, is still a day to day thing, with staff members venturing opinions that go from a few weeks to Judgement Day in the next millennium. Carols had a handful of visitors today/tonight, and when Rhiannon and I trotted out to the nearby Whole Foods to get some dinner, we picked up a sushi tray for her. Hey, its therapeutic! You know, chopsticks and all? Thats fine motor skill therapy, pal! Her spirits are excellent, and I brought down her laptop for her to use. If, and granted its an if, things keep going like this, shell be out of there in no time! Thanks, God! Thanks, friends and family! :) Its been a real good day!
