Latest Vacancy: Lloyds apprentice programme: Lloyds.London The Insurance Apprentice Programme will provide a range of learning opportunities to equip the Apprentice will the knowledge, skills and understanding of key areas within the Lloyds market. Over the course of the programme the Apprentice will also study to achieve a professional qualification within a nationally recognised framework, with support all the way. The Apprentice will experience at least two placements including time in a Lloyds Broker and a Managing Agent. During the Broking Placement they will gain an understanding of the role of an insurance broker and the interdependencies that exist between Brokers and the Lloyds Market Underwriting teams. During the Underwriting Placement they will gain an understanding of how the Underwriter assesses risks and the considerations they make to ensure the policies are profitable. During the Claims placement the Apprentice will gain an understanding of what Claims Teams do to investigate and resolve insurance claims. Other placements will contribute to an overall understanding of the interdependencies within the Lloyds market roles and an appreciation of employment and career opportunities. For each placement the Apprentice will work in a department, alongside a team focusing in a particular area of Insurance. As well as fulfilling Apprenticeship requirements, the Apprentice will be involved in the delivery of the following key administrative activities: Key Activities General Administration: • Undertaking photocopying, filing and organisation of data, key reports and information • Setting up files and processes to ensure easy access and maintenance of information • Making calls to set up meetings and appointments • Providing general departmental administrative support to colleagues as required Generation and Collation of Information/Data: • Gathering, compiling and preparing information and data from a variety of sources • Researching key documentation • Assisting in compilation of statistics and creation of spread sheets • Analysing information and making recommendations • Compiling accurate reports and spread sheets with data entry • Processing information and updating records in accordance with agreed processes Data Analysis: • Demonstrating a full understanding of compliance and regulation and undertaking activities or processes to maintain integrity. Personal Development: • Organising and prioritising time and activities to achieve a successful blend of on the job work requirements with knowledge initiatives, key apprenticeship objectives and exam specifications.
