Latest crime updates: Unknown offender(s) have gained entry to Captain Nemos on Musgrave Street, Berserker, between January 3 – 5. Offender(s) have gained entry to the rear of the shop by cutting a hole in a wire mesh fence. They have then allegedly used a tool to force open a rear wooden door causing damage to the door and frame. Damaging other property within the business. A quantity of money was stolen during this incident. Unknown offender(s) have gained entry to Igenta on Edenbrook Drive, Parkhurst, between January 1 – 5. They have forced open the locked sliding glass door to the office. Once inside, they have then set fire to a filing cabinet in the centre of the office, causing it to burn through the flooring. A number of items were damaged and stolen during this incident. Stealing from Vehicles Unknown offender(s) have stolen property from a vehicle parked on Kabra Road, Kabra between December 19 and January 5. A Waco refrigerator and Koboda volume pump was stolen during this incident. Unknown offender(s) have attended DC Motors on Derby Street, Rockhampton, between January 3 – 5. Offender(s) have approached a blue Holden Commodore sedan and removed the rear spoiler from the boot of the vehicle. Damage to the boot and rear passenger side quarter panel occurred during this incident. An unknown male offender(s) has used an unknown implement to jemmy open the front passenger side door of a vehicle parked on Murray Street, The Range, at 11:00pm on January 5, before being disturbed by the victim and witness. Nil property was stolen during this incident. Police urge all residents to be vigilant with the security of their property. By ensuring homes and vehicles are locked and property secured it will decrease the likelihood of becoming a victim of an opportunist crime. Police encourage members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour.
