Latest update: Carol went into surgery around 7am. She was in recovery by noon. Karin and Paul just saw her and she squeezed Pauls hand. She is on the fast track now and they will remove the breathing tube around 4, Her incision is only about 4 inches long and the valve was replaced thru that. I am already jealous. I am not clean whether they opened her up like they did mine or if they did the procedure thru the 4 inch thing. ANYWAY. The surgeon was extremely impressed that for 75 years old, there was no cholesterol in any of her arteries and that she had the heart of a 30 year old. Praise God for ALL of his blessings.
