Launch of the Waghlīsiyyah course: As-salāmu ‘alaykum We are pleased to announce the launch of a course on the great prefatory work by the Algerian al-Waghlīsī, “Al-Muqaddimah al-Waghlīsiyyah”, with its noble commentary by Shaykh Ahmad Zarrūq. The course will be taught by Ustādh Ahmad ‘Alī al-Adanī. The course will cover the first part of the text, which centres on ‘aqīdah, some basic concepts of usūl of fiqh, and fiqh properly so-called. If successful, it will be followed by a second and last instalment centred on the remainder of the fiqh and the golden principles of Sufism. The course will be structured in 12 lessons of around 75 minutes each. We prefer Saturday afternoon or evening (whereupon 4 October 2014 will be the starting date), with Monday afternoon or evening as an alternative. We would like participants to indicate preferences of date and time. We will use Wiziq for the live classes, with registration of lessons available as a further option. We need at least 7 participants to enrol. Enrolment is open till 30 September 2014. Payment is by paypal to sulwaan@gmail. The fee is $60 if paid by 20 September 2014, $70 if paid after that date.
