Laura and I was looking at some auction items... one set was a cream, sugar, spoon holder, and kettle in the shapes of animals... it was Cat, Cat, Cat, Dog... Laura: That is like a version of Duck, Duck, Goose!! Me: Have you ever played that? Laura: Yes... Me: What about Red Light Green Light? Laura: Yes Me: Do you remember when we used to play Mother May I *nod* I spy with my little eye *nod* Simon Says *nod* ... Did you ever play Ollie Ollie oxen free? Laura: Whats That???? Me: Um.. I dont remember. We will look on google... What about Red Rover Laura: Whats that? Me: Kids would like up in two lines facing each other, holding hands.... The caller would say Red Rover Red Rover Send ______ right over, then that person would run at the line and try to break through the clasped hands. You always wanted to call over the weakest person.... Laura: That sounds like a game made up by the teachers to wear the kids out for the rest of the day... Me: Hmm.. Maybe... but it was my favorite recess when we played that and tug of war... otherwise we played Tetherball. Laura: Whats that? Me: What did you all DO at recess??? Laura: Hung upside down on the monkey bars... Me: Did you ever do a skin the cat? Laura: *gasp* NO!!! We couldnt take knives to school!!! I feel really old....
