Lauryn is doing really well at taking her medicine!! She has chemotherapy pills, steroid pills, and other pills :) Sometimes she still gets sick, and other times she has a lot of nausea. Each time she takes them, she chews them just a little (which is OK) before swallowing them and shell say, Look, Mom! No more tubey!! I tell her shes doing great and shes got this and we high five and dance. This is such a relief, as many of you remember the struggle (understatement) we had with taking medicine for 7 months. Yesterday I took the kids to one of our most favorite places, Pinkadilly Tea house. They are closing this month and we wanted to squeeze in one last visit. We had a beautiful lunch and tried on all the tea party hats. It was nice to steal a day with my children and we didnt have to be in a doctors office. It felt like before we were diagnosed, although there are always people staring and watching us which I have pretty much gotten used to now. We can begin to take Lauryn back to Cubbies this week too. She has been looking forward to going back so much. Shes missed October and November and she keeps telling me she has stuff to make there - she remembers everything. :) Ill take pictures so you can see her sweet face. I cant wait to begin our new normal routine!!! Were so grateful to be in the Maintenance phase and doing her chemo at home. (My underlying thought each day is that I dont want a relapse, but I dont let that knowledge stop us from enjoying our time together.) Thank you for continuing to pray for us and encourage us.
