Laying in bed listening to Blus stomach just kills me. I just gave him a Pepcid. I do not understand his food issues & no one knows how to help him. Six vets have no answers. I dont know what to feed him. Hes great for two days, making normal stools, then the gurgling, then loose stools. He gets no treats & literally spends no time outside except on leash walks. I have to switch his food again, but to what? Im not really asking for an exact food, I know each dog is different. Ive tried pumpkin, yogurt, probiotic powders, bland diets, done it all. He is my baby & laying awake at 2am listening to his discomfort is so disheartening. Like beyond belief. Hes on a 5 star food, Merrick Lamb & Sweet Potato. He gets 1.5 cups at 530am, 1.5 cups at 3pm & half a cup around 6-7pm. Prior to that he was on Natures Variety LID Lamb & peas. He did great for about 8 mos, then started having issues. I tried to change his protein, to California Natural Herring & sweet potato. I did so gradually over about 10 days. The issues with that food were daily, so I gradually went back to Lamb. Im just so frustrated & sad. Say a prayer for us that I can find a food that agrees with him for longer than 2 days at a time. Hes suffering so much. And mama needs to sleep. (After writing this, Im seeing sweet potato as a common denominator in his last two unsuccessful foods, perhaps he has a potato allergy/ sensitivity).
