Laying in the dark, waiting on the embrace of slumber, it was a long night. Synaptic bursts trigger random muscles to twitch, every nerve in my body turned up to 11, not wanting to move in hopes the pain will subside. The chorus from Matthew Mahers All The People Said Amen is the circling song for the night. Sound familiar? Living with an invisible illness affects more of us than many realize. We often feel alone and outcast and end up so depressed at our condition that we forgot there are others suffering along side us... Our loved ones. They may not feel what we feel physically but they do feel the desperation and hopelessness we do at having to watch us struggle. To many times in our efforts to protect those around us from the diseases we struggle with, we end up shutting them out, I know, I made that mistake myself. It is easier for Satan to work his lies into our thinking if he can seclude us from those who care. It is easy for him to pull us down into the darkness if we are cut off from those who bring light. If we want the strength to carry on we must make sure we are allowing the love of God to guide us. We are not alone in this walk, Jesus is right there beside us, we just have to take his hand. When we are struggling the most is when 2 opportunities will become present, the choice to trust in God to see us through or the choice to give up and let Satan pull us into the wallow. Dawn has come and God has seen me through to another day, a day that I choose to walk boldly into knowing God will see me through. Our challenge every day is in who we will choose to face the day with, God or Satan. The only way we can help ourselves is by not closing ourselves up and isolating us from the love and support of those who care. If you want to stop being invisibly ill you can start by opening up. If you know someone struggling alone in the dark, reach out to them and let them see Gods light shining in you. You know how lonely it feels, it help us personally when we reach out to help someone else. Have a blessed day... And all the people said Amen youtube/watch?v=WhfPLYVZ5j0
