LeT Commander among 5 Mujahids Matyared in Ganderbal Five top Lashkar-i-Toiba mujahids were matyared in an encounter at Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday morning. Official sources told that acting on a tip off, army’s 24 RR and SOG cordoned off the Prang area of Wasun in Kangan, Ganderbal early wee hours today. As such the joint team intensified the search operation mujahids present there opened indiscriminate fire upon them ensuing a fierce gunbattle which lasted for about 2 hours, sources said. During the gunfight, five top LeT mujahids including a district commander Assadullah Bai, all hailing from Pakistan were killed. (GNS)
