League of Municipalities holds first meeting Out of the fifteen municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya, 12 mayors attended the first meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Nueva Vizcaya chapter presided over by Quezon Mayor Aurelio Salunat and with the presence of Governor Ruth Padilla. The governor mentioned in her message that the one million peso financial assistance for each municipality should be guided by the 13-point agenda of her administration and that the program of work should justify the significance and its role in the development of the province. A query was raised by the league concerning consultations with Governor Padilla and it was decided that the first Tuesday of every month will be allotted for a meeting of the Governor with the LMP to present concerns, proposals and other matters. Due to the absence of two mayors, the league proposed to create a Facebook account to centralize the dissemination of information. Another question was raised by Dupax Del Sur Mayor Ruben Basconcillo regarding the absence and tardiness of other mayors in the first meeting of the league.
