Leaving Your Furnace of Affliction ISA 48:10 See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. Today while praying I saw a fiery furnace and people inside being shaped by the heat like red-hot metal. What I felt the Lord was showing me is that many of us have been in a fiery furnace of trials for a very long time now where we have been experiencing a progressive meltdown, but that soon when we have been shaped into the image of Christ things will then change suddenly for the better. Some of you have become so weary that you don’t even want to go on any longer, and you’ve been giving up and losing faith because you have believed a lie that God doesn’t care because He has allowed this to go on for so long. God has been more than mindful about what you’re going through and He has just been burning out areas of your flesh that would have otherwise not been exposed. Now is the time to fully forsake the idols of the world and sin, and to seek the Lord with everything you’ve got. You are about to experience a mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit and you are just having your wineskin prepared beforehand. Hang in there and thank God rather than grumbling, and soon you will see the mighty deliverance that you’ve been praying for. You will leave your furnace soon! 1PE 1:. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed....Lonnie Mackley
