Dear Zane, Okay if you choose to post please keep my name anonymous. My name is __________. I am a 31 yr old single mom. I have a seven year old son whos dad decided when I found out I was pregnant that he did not want to be a dad. He then passed away when my son was three. I work two jobs have my own stuff and even though on occasion we struggle me and my son do okay. I was rapped at 21 and told I could not have kids after that so I took my son as a blessing from God and moved on. I was in a brief relationship with someone and we did not use protection. I know silly me thinking this could not happen twice but I am pregnant again. Same story, dude talking bout he is not helping me with the baby. He gets SSI MY RESPONSE: Really, he cannot make that kind of decision, not when it comes to financial responsibility; especially if he is on SSI. You have been blessed twice and you need to look at it that way. Do the best you can and if he refuses to do the right thing, take him to court. It is not the same as him spending time with the child but that is on him, not you. Good luck.
