Leaving for Islamabad for a few days. Islamabad is a beautiful modern city, thanks to Ayub Khan who gave this to Pakistan and it was Gen Yahya Khan who was responsible for its planning and execution. Gen Yahya had it planned as a signal free city that was changed later and made a mess out of it. Now the unwanted Metro is going to further deface the city. Metro was not the need but widening of the roads and removal of the signals along with beautiful and comfortable buses plying on the roads. It would have been still better if a railway spur (dual track) was taken from Sihala to Islamabad and linking with Marghala Railway Station via Abpara area.
