Leaving for the beach soon. It became bittersweet this morning after telling Ian who all was going with us and then he asked why Pa wasnt going. I had to assure Ian once we got back from vacation we would go visit Pa very soon. I was thinking all the things we could have done last year if we had known it would have been the last year my dad would go to the beach. However I am thankful that my mom realizes she should go and enjoy some much needed time away. Thanks to everyone who is going to check on dad while she is gone. She needs this more than any of us. Looking forward to a great week and making lasting memories!
