Leaving the field at halftime, I witnessed Coach Kubiak go down to - TopicsExpress

Leaving the field at halftime, I witnessed Coach Kubiak go down to one knee then completely collapse. He was then given incredible medical care by the Houston Texans medical staff and the emergency medical personnel. I know many, many of you dont like the way the Texans season has gone; either do I. Lets step back a minute and really examine and process what is really important. Imagine if you will see someone you have known, even on a passing for 25 years in this situation. It was very, very scary. I met Gary Kubiak his freshman year at Texas A&M through a fellow Aggie named Mike Demny. Mike & I had a few classes together. Mike was Kubiaks center on their high school team at St. Pius here in Houston. Kubiak treated others around him with respect and was always friendly. Then some 25 years later Kubiaks in town as an assistant coach with the Denver Broncos. I was working the Texan-Bronco practices and Kubiak comes up to me and says hello, even remembered my name. That makes one feel pretty good...you all know that feeling. Gary is a really good coach, you dont become a head coach in the NFL unless you are a great coach. His wife Rhonda is an incredible woman who has raised three sons that anyone would be proud to have their daughters marry. Father Clinton Curtis Ressler said a wonderful prayer for Gary and his family at the start of the second half. I hope and pray he gets well real soon.
