Lecturer – Photography/Computer Imaging – Computer Graphics Position Number: FY 14-66 Reports to: Department of Visual Arts Chairman Scope: The University of Texas at Brownsville seeks a Lecturer in Photography/Computer Imaging-Computer Graphics with the ability to teach introductory to advanced courses in photography and computer graphics. Applicants should be versed in both film and photography and digital photography, and have full knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Design (CS6). The contract teaching load is for 15 hours with the opportunity for overloads. This is a security-sensitive position subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which allows the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Education: Master in Fine Arts in Photography or Computer Graphics with at least 18 graduate hours in photography or computer graphics if the Master in Fine Arts is not in either one. Experience: Teaching experience at the university or college level. Salary: 45K for a nine-month contract period for a period of up to 3 years, renewable. Summer teaching optional as available.
