Led CLE Metroparks hawkwatch all day bus tour. 12 hours of nonstop hellyeah. Few hawks but diversity awesome - a clutch BLACK VULTURE shooting overhead Conneaut in extreme northeast Ohio. Stunner Short-eared Owl flopping around overhead during lunch. At such length that folks lowered bins and pounded sandwiches saying oh....there it is....again in between soda sips and pickles and salads and whatnot. Oh, there it is. Again. Just a Short-eared Owl overhead. Long-eared Owl point blank and scope views so delicious to where we were almost certain wed see feather mites onnits face. Couple warblers, Palmies pumpin tails. Purple Finch serenades. Virginia Rails scolding us hard. A final hail mary rush for six Fish Crows at Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. Uh-uh. Uh. Uh.
