Leesburg, Virginia -- June 20, 2014 -- The Women’s Industry Network (WIN), which had a record-setting attendance at their annual conference in May, is planning some special activities at the NACE | CARS conference in Detroit, July 30-August 2, 2014. WIN is in high gear to reach out to women who are active in the industry who want to network with peers and take part in the professional advancement opportunities that the organization offers. WIN members will staff an informational booth where attendees can discover more about WIN and join the organization. “We have such a vibrant membership that is interested in being a part of the forward motion of the industry,” remarked Terry Neely, WIN Board Member and co-chair of the Industry Outreach Committee. “WIN has a great story to tell. We invite our current members to stop by the booth and use it as a meeting place to greet each other as well as introduce themselves to tradeshow attendees who may not have had exposure to what WIN has to offer.” Visitors to the WIN booth can enter a drawing to win a 2015 WIN Membership (a $75 value) or an iPad (donated for the WIN raffle by Enterprise Rent-a-Car). Unveiled earlier this year, WIN’s “There’s a Place for You” campaign posters will be available for NACE attendees to view. The poster design was developed as part of a special collaboration between WIN and the Collision Repair Education Foundation, to focus the attention on the varied roles available to students entering the industry. The posters have been placed in trade schools across the country, and will be given to show attendees who contribute $20 or more to the WIN Scholarship Fund during the conference. The scholarship program helps a growing number of women receive the training they need to either enter the industry or gain qualifications to take their career to the next level. Look for the WIN “Proud Sponsor” logos throughout the NACE exhibits. Without the support of these wonderful organizations, WIN wouldn’t be able to provide scholarships, education, and networking opportunities to so many in this industry. The annual Sponsor Appreciation Reception and “Power Up with WIN” breakfast will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. This annual invitation-only celebration is a way of recognizing WIN sponsors and offers members and guests a great opportunity to connect with the group.
