Left early this morning for my 12-mile weekend run, sporting my new racing shorts which, admittedly, reveal a little more than normal. The youngest daughter begged me not to wear them and tried to bar me from leaving the house. When that didnt work, she bet me 25 cents I wouldnt finish the whole 12 miles. Is it wrong that the prospect of taking a quarter off my own child, the one who insulted my shorts, drove me on through the last two miles? Wrong or not, she owes me and Im off to collect.
