Leg 35; 8 Days Oudtshoorn to Worcester How I dealt with four - TopicsExpress

Leg 35; 8 Days Oudtshoorn to Worcester How I dealt with four days of 50+ km per day and three days of 30+ km, was by grabbing any topic rendered by my hodgepodge mind, playing it out and playing with it - in my mind… Top 10 Topics: 1. Arriving in Cape Town on 20 October, scenario 1 2. Arriving in Cape Town on 20 October, scenario 2 3. The shifting pains in my feet and how much they will enjoy to rest 4. Art auction to be held on behalf of the organisations HiM represent 5. Relocating to a new town once back 6. Activating the company I registered a year ago 7. The places I visited and the people met 8. Two websites I would like to build when back 9. The shared characteristics of rapists and cheats 10.The capriciousness of my thoughts There were more than 10 topics. Every person met along this route predicated my thoughts. Unwittingly. These individuals somehow fulfilled a function similar to ground or earth in electrical engineering, but towards my thoughts. The individual was either a reference point to a thought from which accuracy could be measured, or a direct physical connection to the Earth was established. Like electrical circuits may be connected to ground (earth) for several reasons, so it was necessary for me to encounter these wonderful individuals. Few days are left before the end of this project is reached. My thoughts and emotions are sparked as to why I needed to meet these specific individuals; 1. to prevent user (my) contact with dangerous voltage (thoughts/ideas/conclusions) if electrical insulation fails (expectations/reality) 2. to connect to ground limit, the build-up of static electricity (emotions) when handling flammable products or electrostatic-sensitive devices (scenarios/truths/people) 3. to save the cost of installing a separate return conductor (recreating the wheel), like in some telegraph and power transmission circuits where earth itself can be used as one conductor of the circuit (spare me the thought). For measurement purposes, the Earth (these people I met along my way) served as a (reasonably) constant potential reference against which other potentials could be measured. They have an appropriate current-carrying capability to serve as an adequate reference level (stable & proven). I can extirpate each experience, but to do it justice I will do so when I have more time. Winston Churchill said, “Do not let spacious plans for a new world divert your energies from saving what is left of the old.” So my focus must remain on 4 more walking days and 2 promo days before getting to Cape Town. Let’s complete this circuit!
