Legal Writing: An Exercise In Organized Confusion In the matter of what is or what is not, Although it may seem but it is not, Or really is but may only seem, Jurisprudence dictates that the determination Of what is and what is not, seeming or unseemly, By and large fall under the realm of common sense Whereby preponderance of evidence rules By facts and figures and between facts and figures, Nonetheless with facts held superior to figures In view those facts unlike figures cannot be a figment, A figment being a fantasy of truth true only in form, Not in substance therefore failing final bar of justification, Wherefore wherewithal perforce in the matter of what is or is not, Although it may seem but it is not, Or really is but may only seem, Henceforth must sally in facts and figures in form and substance, Thus so ordered to get to the bottom of things on day of judgment. – ncl 9/26/13
