Lena saw this boy today tied up on the side of the road. He was standing in the sun with NO water at all :( .. We went this afternoon to have a closer look. As you can see he is being eaten alive by the flies. He also has infected areas on his belly and between his legs. His halter is too tight and it is cutting into his face.. also it will interfere with him eating as he cant fully open his mouth. (He had nothing to eat anyway and was eating his own poo). You can see the flies feeding on his sore place by the halter strap. We found the owner and had a word.. she said she had been treating him with stuff from her Vet (sorry dont believe her) but it isnt working. So.. I took these pics and we popped round to the Guardia Civil. After listening to what we had to say Mr G.C. said they will be right on it.. they were going straight round to see the Horse and would follow it up by a report to the Guardia Seprona. We will also follow it up by seeing him again tomorrow (if he is still there) and to ask the Guardia what they decided. Please look out for things like this and if you cant deal with it just let us know .. Thanx.
