Leopold Infeld was a Jewish Polish physicist who worked with Albert Einstein in the solution of several problems back in the 1930s. Einstein was his mentor. When the German invaded Poland, Einstein offered Infeld an opportunity to save his life. Infeld tried to get help from Poland, but he wasnt successful. Also Einsten could not set up a teaching position for Infeld in the US. Infelds future was dark, so Einstein suggested Infeld to write a book to promote scientific knowledge with him. In spite of the fact the book was written in only a couple of weeks, and the majority of the work was done by Infeld himself (?), it was considered a best seller and was well sold. If there was no Einsteins help in Infelds life, the Polish physicist might have had a very different future.
