Lesson 004: ‘Why your mind set will impact upon your property investing performance, every time’ …and why this is relevant to you in your desire to succeed in property…. I see this in the 2 sports I do, (Crossfit and Olympic weightlifting) both as a competitor and also as a coach. In sport, you can read the body language – in weightlifting, you can tell who will make the lift, before they have even touched the bar, from their body language. An elite athlete will train, daily, twice a day to build their sporting capability. But the winning move? Every time, to reach the top, it is mind over matter. There is no difference in business – you need to train hard, repeat your movements under the supervision of a good coach, and then have the winning mind set. So why is this relevant to you? To be successful as a property investor, you need to pay as much attention to your mind set as to your resources (time, money, skills), right coach and natural abilities. So what body language is important in business? In my experience, it is the language people use – I will try to find a deal, rather then I am sourcing deals currently, is a good example. Pay attention to your own thoughts and beliefs about what you can achieve in property – and do not limit yourself. If someone else has achieved it, with the right training, work and coach, you can also achieve similar.
