Lessons this week: Preschool theme: Outer space Bible lesson:The Baptism of Jesus Sign language word: space Spanish word:Diez:ten Letter: Ii Number:10 This week we will explore the solar system and learn all about the planets and astronomy. We will do space art, we will use language skills with words and writing that go with space. We will play star and planet games that will incorporate science, numbers, movement, sizes and colors. We will learn about space celebrations and have some astronaut fun. We will learn the song, I love to ride in my spaceship Books: soccer mom from outer space, space case, Blast off, Galactic giggles, and Our stars. Jesus’ baptism marks the beginning of His earthly ministry. When He was baptized, Jesus (the sinless Son of God) was identifying fully with us, sinful mankind. He told His cousin, John the Baptist, that he did so to fulfill all righteousness. God the Father then is heard from heaven and God the Holy Spirit appears and descends on Jesus as a dove. This is a very rare occurrence, in that all three persons of the Godhead are either seen or heard all at once.
