Let Us Get Our Path Straight By Kenrick Georges August 5, 2013. My son, Kenijah, is now eleven years old, but he has accomplished a great deal in his three years of study music with me, and he is making a huge impact in Binghamton, New York. We traveled to St. Kitts last July, and thought it reasonable to share his knowledge and accomplishments with our young people. I had no clue that that was a problem for Willy Liburd. But, like I have always said, the people at the front with their heads in the trough are the same ones who tilt it over after they had their fill and flaunt their potbellies. If Willy Liburd, and others have a problem with my personality, take it out on me—beat the hell out of me. We are grown men on opposite sides of our political spectrum. But do any of you think for a moment that, I would try to demean any effort to improve an obviously lacking aspect of our culture? Know me or know me not, love me or love me not the truth is there for all to see. I have survived every effort from all sides thus far to send me under. That has been almost my total experience in my homeland, and there are those who know it first hand. But I have never been stopped. I continued to make overtures and efforts to assist in improving the state of music in St-Kitts-Nevis, and I even got the endorsement of Dr. Stanley Ralph, a senior faculty member of the music program while at RCC. Sorry: Breaking News! I do care about things other than politics in St. Kitts-Nevis. Mr. Willy Liburd, my little man and my genuine concerns for anything other than politics in OUR COUNTRY aught not be part of the debate we are having. I am my son’s teacher; thus, he has been taught well, and with health and strength he will be fine and will stand strong on his own. Do you think that I was looking for something to share my knowledge, and my son’s early development with the youth of our country? You selfishness does not allow you to see beyond you parasitic nature. Shameful! While in St. Kitts, my son gave a demonstration at the SKN Defense Force Band room for the band members. You may inquire of the impact. And yes: I was negotiating for him to appear at the last music festival and he was rejected at the last minute. But you may look him up @ Kenrick Georges on YouTube. See with whom he is playing. Listen to what he is playing and you may write a response on that. But then again, it would not matter to you. You are only having fun when you are preventing others in St. Kitts from living. Let us as big boys avoid further distractions. Keep it political and substantive. But I will still ask that you to find a way to give back to your community on the strength of all that you have gotten when the party you serve were in power. Willy, you and those who think like you would never learn to appreciate the little poor boy for Esmie, from up in Newtown being willing and able to stand in your faces and not flinch. Envy/grudge is like a cancer.
