Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14 I love this short verse but to me it is deeper than most think about. I like to think of this verse as “Let all that you do be done because of God.” It’s easy to do things out of love when you love who you are doing those things for. When it someone who has wronged you it isn’t so easy. When you change that to doing things because of God, you take your love out of it and but in the love of God. Also another things so many people look at is that you do things because you love how they make you feel. That is often times of selfishness. Romans 15:2 says, “Each of us should live to please his neighbor. This will help him grow in faith.” If we are not living to build others up than we are most likely tearing them down. I love that Christ came and ate with the tax collectors and sinners. He wasn’t a guy who looked down upon others, he just wanted to invest in their lives. Just like the lady at the well. Jesus is the way and the only way others would know that is by word of mouth or him investing in their lives. He wasn’t one of the cool guys who had his group and stayed just with them, he is a man of the people! I can’t even imagine the amount of love for others that takes to just associate with everyone. It’s all because of God though! He didn’t send his son to earth to live comfortably he sent him here to reach all! He wants to reach you right not where you are at, he wants you to know how deep his love for you is! You have to be willing to accept that because God gave you that love!
