Let me PROVE to you that GOD is real!!!!! I ran into an old friend on Saturday, who Ive known for many many years.... This fellow worked for Hazard City Police way back when and now works as a RN @ Hazard ARH..... As always every time we see each other out and about, we hug, talk just for a few minutes, ask about each others families, say, See ya and go our separate ways.... But when I ran into him Saturday, Our conversation lasted a little longer than normal.... As soon as I saw him, I started giving him a hard time over his new home improvement project that he just completed for his wife.... Then, he turned the conversation toward me.... He told me how proud he was of me because of what I had done for Eli and all the other folks in this state about pushing and not giving up on the legalization of marijuana.... I said, When youve got a baby as sick as our Eli, and lived the nightmare weve lived, I couldnt give up.... He said Rita, I never would have said this to you a year ago, but every time I saw you all coming through the ER, he said, Id always pray and say, Lord, please dont let this be the night.... He was saying, Lord, please dont let Eli die.... He said the fear he had for Eli and us, and what he thought may happen to Eli was unbearable.... He really didnt think and felt in his heart that Eli wasnt going to make it..... But, I guess thats where all of you come into this picture.... Ive asked countless times for everyone to pray for him without ceasing..... A year later, Eli is doing great... Hes playing tee ball, going to school, and trying to say words.... This time a year ago, we never thought this would happen for him or us..... The LORD has given us our MIRACLE... Eli is NOT WELL or CURED, but he is ALIVE, WITH US, and GOING STRONG!!!!! Eli has numerous Dr.s appts in the next months to come @ Cincinnati Childrens, UK, U of L, and Mt. Vernon.... Always for us and we travel.... Please continue to pray that God will heal our son!!!! Thank you all for everything.... Thank you my Friend for Saturday....
