Let me make this a little clearer. I dont mean to step on toes. Im not saying the JESUS plunge is stupid. I said Ive heard a lot of others saying how stupid it is. Not many pay 1/10 of their income for tithing, but thats what tithing means one tenth. If you make $1600.00 a month before taxes, you pay $160.00 a month to GOD. Not $2.00 or $5.00 a week. People have said Im stupid for paying tithing including some friends and family, but thats a real challenge and I accept it. People say Im dumb for driving about 40 miles one way to church, but until the middle of last year I was driving 50 miles one way. Thats a challenge too and I accept it. So people will always find fault with Christianity. Look how they treated our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. Im just saying for me personally, I know GOD and JESUS CHRIST knows my heart and what all I do so I dont feel I need to do the plunge. If someone said pay $160.00 for tithing or you can pour water on your head, Id still pay the tithing for the greater sacrifice. Which in all reality is no sacrifice because we get blessings from doing it. Im glad you love JESUS CHRIST and anything we do to prove it is a plus. JESUS CHRIST showed it by giving his whole life. Then he showed it by giving up his life.
