Let me start by saying the City Limits Diner is the most wonderful place I have ever had the chance to work. I spent the last 8 1/2 years working here at the Diner, and they were amazing! I have met some truly wonderful people here, both customers and fellow employees. The cooks (Fernando, Richard, and Cesar) are the best in the county. You all know Lupe and Lettie are the best at everything they do! The other waitresses are more than co-workers, they are my extended family. Bobby was the greatest boss a girl could ask for. With all that said, I have decided to hang up my apron. I am retiring to be a full time grammy. I am leaving the job to more younger and faster waitresses..lol. I only told a few about my plans, because I am horrible at saying goodbye. I became a waitress because of my love for people and my gift of gab. Left the profession to do other things, but, always came back to wait tables. I just missed it. I have watched too many customers pass in the last couple of years and that has taken a toll on me also. But, I have also watched the young ones grow up to beautiful young teenagers. So, I am going to try to finish out my time (hopefully 30 or 40 more years) with the grandkids, while I can still lift them...lol.
