Within 1 week we were stopped twice and harassed by some dubious traffic enforcers for non existent violations.. Both times in Pasay. The 2nd time I stopped in the middle of the road.. On Edsa just before TAFT. On the left most lane which is always crawling. Perfect for their modus operandi. Did not stop on the side as requested ( because thats when they have you by the balls) and literally shouted in his face.. 1 inch away from his face that he can go to hell and that there is no offence.. Then he babbled something about uniform and respect .. Thats when I really lost it.. Told him he is a common criminal.. And I have no respect whatsoever.. Got back into my car and drove away.. Richard was as pale as snow..I was trembling for about an hour... Lost my voice even. What on earth is happening to my beloved adopted country? Should I have given him P 500? I dont think so. Im scared to drive now. And I love driving... Its no more fun in....
