Let me tell you how disrespectful I find this. In 17 years of law enforcement, Ive been called pig or doughnut eater or whatever countless times. Never, to my knowledge, by a professional or politician who was attempting to gain votes and support for his election. To refer to police generally, or the employees of the STPSO specifically, as the deputies of pork is more derogative and disrespectful than I am willing to tolerate. If you have a problem with the elected officials in office, Montgomery, pick your fight with them. Dont indiscriminately target hard working, generally well intentioned, police men and women for your own political humor. You, Montgomery, are obviously and idiot. Im sure youre going to say that this ad was put together and run by other people without your knowledge or support. To that I say, what an excellent example as to your prowess for being responsible for your office. What a wonderful way to start off your relationship with the men and women who are responsible for reporting crimes to the courts, to be prosecuted by you (or so you wish). Is this your way of telling everyone that you intend to disassociate with law enforcement, and that the police officers reporting the crimes are not to be trusted? If so, does that mean that you believe that we are all liars? If we are, you must not intend on prosecuting anything brought to your office. If we wanted that, Warren Montgomery, we all would have stayed south of the lake or west of the parish line. You are not a fair haired knight intent on saving us all from the evil Sheriff of Rottingham. (What a terrific view you paint of our community, by the way). Instead, I think your are more akin to an aspiring court jester. Living your life in a vain attempt to gain some notoriety through stupid games, idiotic humor, and a desire to be recognized. Go back to your parlor, the one you came from where no one knew your name. Youve had your 15 seconds of fame. Thats all you deserve. I am very open minded when it comes to the platform of each candidate running for office, and I try to weigh out the things that are most important to me from each of them. You, however, have guaranteed that you will not have my support, the support of my family, or any of my friends who ask my opinion on the issue.
