Let other people keep off this post if you are not Monica Feza or Tess Nyman....Both of you have made wild accusations against one another on a public platform! The accusations are serious because human trafficking is illegal in Uganda. The 2009 Prevention of Trafficking In Persons Act prohibits all forms of trafficking, prescribing punishments of 15 years to life imprisonment and other penalties! To help you both figure out your allegations, the above act defines trafficking in persons as the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Interpol has recently gained much interest in this area because trafficking has become very prevalent especially with people who are being taken out of the country! So banyabo, i am sure Interpol would love to listen to this story and it would help if we get an organized dialogue where we listen to your answers and stories and give a chance to each of you to respond to each of the accusations without other people interrupting! Lets start!!
