Let´s save the Baltic Sea together. A vision of a sea covered with seaweed opens up to a rescue helicopter flying a mission at the sea. The helicopter crew and the rescue swimmers can see the state of the sea first hand and therefore can easily understand why it is important to save the Baltic Sea. What is Save the Baltic Sea Swim? Members of EuroRSA-European Rescue Swimmers Association will swim across the Baltic Sea from Tallinn to Helsinki as a relay swim in 1st-5th of July 2013. The swimming team consists of helicopter rescue swimmers from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Australia. Diving club Teredo Navalis offers their vessel TEREDO as the support boat in the event. EuroRSA is an European association for helicopter rescue swimmers. The association already has members from 17 different countries. The main idea is to develop communications between nations to share information on all issues related to helicopter rescue. Share, learn and live. The start is from Tallinn 1st-3rd of July depending on the prevailing weather. The estimated swimming distance is max. 100km and ETA at Helsinki max 48hrs from start. bit.ly/19U6nMO
