Important information below. Please take time to read. Just touch base with everyone. I am finishing up the first leg of my student teaching semester. For those of you who didnt know, I have been student teaching this semester at SCAPA in Lexington. Its been a wild ride but, after this week, things will slow down a little for me as I go on to my next placement at Montgomery Co. High School. Thanks to all that have been keeping me in your prayers. They are much appreciated. Now, the Easter season is quickly approaching. We will be performing a new cantata (just came out this year) by Lloyd Larson called Witness. You can listen to it in its entirety on JW Pepper. Things will work out a little differently this year. As you already know, Julie cant commit to Easter as our accompanist because shes got a new grandchild on the way. Terry Ensor of First Christian has graciously agreed to be our accompanist, but we will need to find some money to compensate him for his time. Please see Kathy Kathie Czernik Ford if you can donate anything to that cause. Our performance will also be a little earlier than normal. I found out at the recent Liturgy committee meeting that there is also a childrens play planned for Easter morning. Weve adjusted start times for the choir to begin a little earlier and for Mass to begin slightly later to accommodate for everything. Our concert, therefore will begin at 9:45. This change actually works out perfectly, because Terry will need to scurry down to First Christian right after to play for his church. Information about rehearsals will be coming out soon. I will be trying to stick to the standard times of Thursday evening after Mass and Sundays at 2:00. I will be talking to Terry this next week to schedule those, so keep an eye on your emails (and this group page of course). Thank you for slogging through this wall of text. Im looking forward to making more beautiful music with you soon. I hope this message finds you all well. P.S. Tell your friends! We always welcome new faces. If I have to order more music after the first rehearsal, I will be a happy choir director. Cheers!
